We received a phone call from one of our fleet customers in panic mode!
Two expensive bits of #plant #constuction kit were STOLEN from their business premises over the weekend & they asked for our help in ensuring their location & a safe recovery.
Luckily we’d previously fitted security to both bits of kit & were able to quickly ascertain that they were both STOLEN over the weekend on the Saturday evening at 22:15
then both bits of kit stopped for a short while in Newington Kent, one remained & the other continued to Iwade in Kent.
#autosparx with the help of our #trackmanager stolen vehicle support team & #kentpolice #policedogs recovered both the #trailer & the #digger which were located deep in scrub land at each of the above respective locations.
Although the digger had been partially stripped & there was some damage to the locks, ignition barrel & bodywork, our customer is happy they’ve got the kit back & confident their insurers will cover the necessary repair costs.
Great work by all involved in the recovery & safe return of both bits of kit to our customer. The customer is now aware had they used the geofence facility on their Tracker app they would have had a notification of movement when it initially happened.
