Self-monitored ‘fleet’ tracking, Thatcham S7 entry level monitored, & Thatcham S5 monitored with additional features such as driver identification to alert the 24/7 secure operating / monitoring centre if the vehicle moves without driver authentication.
Immobilisation…. 3 Popular options.
Via an electronically coded ‘touch key’ preventing starting of the vehicle without a coded touch key being briefly placed onto the dashboard mounted receptacle.
A ‘transponder’ system which simply requires a tag to be in proximity when a start attempt is made, no tag – no start!
Or a CANbus-based system requiring a unique combination of the vehicles existing buttons to be pushed before allowing the vehicle to start. The combination can be between 3 & 20 button pushes & each installation has its own unique combination chosen by the vehicle owner &/or installation technician.
All the above systems automatically arm each time the vehicles ignition is switched off &/or the drivers door is opened keeping the vehicle secure at all times.
